چکیده

This paper discusses sampling system design for estimation of multidimensional objects from lower dimensional measurements. We consider examples in geometric, diffractive, coherence, spectral and temporal tomography. Compressive tomography reduces or eliminates conventional tradeoffs between temporal and spatial resolution.

Arbitrary Resolution Video Coding Using Compressive Sensing

An arbitrary resolution video coding method based on compressive sampling is proposed. In this method, a video is coded using compressive measurements. The compressive measurements are made on videos of high resolution. The measurements may be used to reconstruct the video at the same resolution as the original video, and any subset of the measurements can be used to reconstruct video at lower ...

Prediction of Human Vertebral Compressive Strength Using Quantitative Computed Tomography Based Nonlinear Finite Element Method

Introduction: Because of the importance of vertebral compressive fracture (VCF) role in increasing the patients’ death rate and reducing their quality of life, many studies have been conducted for a noninvasive prediction of vertebral compressive strength based on bone mineral density (BMD) determination and recently finite element analysis. In this study, QCT-voxel based nonlinear finite eleme...

Compressive imaging using fast transform coding

We propose deterministic sampling strategies for compressive imaging based on Delsarte-Goethals frames. We show that these sampling strategies result in multi-scale measurements which can be related to the 2D Haar wavelet transform. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed strategies through numerical experiments.

Real-time high-speed volumetric imaging using compressive sampling optical coherence tomography

Volumetric imaging of the Optic Nerve Head (ONH) morphometry with Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) requires dense sampling and relatively long acquisition times. Compressive Sampling (CS) is an emerging technique to reduce volume acquisition time with minimal image degradation by sparsely sampling the object and reconstructing the missing data in software. In this report, we demonstrated real...

Compressive Sampling Techniques for Integrating Video Acquisition and Coding

The Shannon/Nyquist sampling theorem specifies that for lossless capture of a signal, one must sample at least two times faster than the largest frequency content of the signal. In many applications, the Nyquist rate is so high that too many samples result, making compression a necessity prior to storage or transmission. But if the signal has a sparse representation in some domain, the novel id...
